Fantasy Sandbox is a physics playground: drop knights, dragons, spells and machines into a world and watch them fight, build and fall apart.

About Fantasy Sandbox

Fantasy Sandbox is a toy box rather than a challenge. You have a palette of creatures, weapons, spells, structures and terrain, and a world to place them in. Put a dragon next to a castle full of archers and see who wins. Build a bridge, then remove a support. Cast a fire spell on a forest. The physics and the creature behaviours do the rest.

Because there is nothing to lose, it is a good game for experimenting and for younger players who like to see cause and effect.

How to Play Fantasy Sandbox

Pick a category from the palette, then an item.
Click or tap on the world to place it.
Use the select tool to move, delete or inspect anything.
Press play to let the world run, pause to rearrange.

Controls

Mouse or touch: place and drag objects.
Palette: choose creatures, spells, terrain and machines.
Play and pause buttons: control the simulation.

Tips and Tricks

Pause before placing a large scene so nothing runs off before you are ready.
Creatures have factions. Two of the same kind usually cooperate, different kinds fight.
Terrain tools can wall things in; a pit stops most ground units.
Save scenes you like. Clearing the world is one click.
