Doodle God is the classic creation puzzle: mix the four elements into hundreds of new things, unlocking groups from bacteria to civilisation along the way.

About Doodle God

Doodle God hands you fire, water, earth and air and a blank world. Pair two elements and, if the combination is right, a new one appears with a short quote and sometimes a new category. Life comes from swamp and energy, humans from life and clay, and from there the game marches through metals, tools, technology and eventually the modern world. It has been a browser staple since 2010 and its puzzle structure has been copied many times.

Unlike open-ended crafting games, Doodle God has a fixed number of discoveries per episode, so it can be finished. That gives the game a satisfying arc: you can see the empty slots in each group and work toward filling them.

How to Play Doodle God

Choose a group on the left and an element inside it.
Choose a second group and element on the right.
If the pair is valid, the new element appears and joins its group.
Fill every group to finish the episode.

Controls

Mouse: click a group, then an element, on each side.
Touch: tap in the same order.
Hint button: reveals a pair you have not tried, on a cooldown.

Tips and Tricks

Work through groups systematically. Combining every element in a new group with the basics finds most recipes.
Two of the same element is valid more often than you would expect: water plus water is sea.
New groups appear when you reach their first element. Life and Humans open up the middle of the game.
The hint timer is generous, so use it rather than guessing for ten minutes.
